You can never have enough leads.   Unless, that is, they are not in your territory, or are not for the niche products your company focuses on.  Few things are more frustrating than having to let opportunity pass by, because you simply don’t have the ability to go after a potential job.  But what if you could do something with those leads?  Something that helped your business grow.  Shelving Today announced the launch of the new Shelving Exchange Program.

How does this FREE program work?

Suppose you get a phone call from someone in another state who is looking for office shelving.  They got your phone number from a collogue who recently transferred into their office.  The project is a good opportunity, but you determine that you simply cannot do it and be both competitive and profitable.  What are your options?  You can simply let the opportunity die, you can call a dealer in their area and try to sell the lead, or ask for a percentage of the sell, or now you can add it to the shelving exchange.

Letting the lead die has often been the easiest course of action.  Trying to locate a dealer, who you can trust with your customer, and than following up to insure you get paid for your fair share can be a fulltime job.  The shelving exchange changes that.

Under this new paradigm you simply add the lead into the lead database.  Doing this earns you one lead credit.  Each time you add a lead you earn an additional lead credit.  Down the road, you can than use these lead credits to pull other leads back out of the system, or in other words to exchange leads.  Lead credits never expire, thus you can add a lead today, and take another back out five years from now.

Add a lead for a job in California, and three months later, take a different lead out for Texas,  or wherever your territory lies.  This eye for an eye philosophy insures that the system is 100% fair.  It allows you to take advantage of the leads that you have let die in the past.  Entering them in the system makes them available for someone else, and allows you to bank the lead credit for a future project in your territory, or for the products you sell.
